Be safe and certified!
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 classes available online
Completing the OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour class helps you be safer on the jobsite, and makes you more valuable to employers. Now, getting your OSHA certifications has never been easier!
The Regional Council has made it possible for all members in good standing to take OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 classes online. These classes are more convenient for you, and a significant savings for the Training Committee. The costs for taking these classes will be reimbursed by your local union, following the guidelines below:
Classes must be done online using one of the following training websites:
The reimbursement will be for actual costs and are capped at $125 for the OSHA 10 class and $239 for the OSHA 30 class.
Members who complete the class or classes must submit their receipt and completion certificate to their local union for reimbursement under the following rules:
Locals will reimburse members only upon submittal by the member of both the completion certificate and the receipt. If either the certificate or the receipt is not presented to the Local, reimbursement to the member is not approved.
Each Local can reimburse only its own members, not members of any other Local.
In order to be eligible for reimbursement, a member must have been in good standing at the Local making the reimbursement for a period of at least three months prior to the reimbursement month.
Employers who advance members of a local in Northern California the cost of the OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 online class can be reimbursed as if the member had paid the costs directly, but only if both the certificate(s) and receipt(s) are presented to the Local.
If you have any questions about the reimbursement process for your cost of getting your certification card, please contact the Financial Secretary at your Local Union.
