You can’t change history, as everybody knows, but with some hard work and know-how, you can make it look better.

This spring, in a six-week period, union carpenters volunteered at the Tahoe Historical Museum in South Lake Tahoe, putting hundreds of hours into remodeling the interior woodwork, laying hardwood flooring, and creating rolling display cases for the exhibits.

On July 8, the Tahoe Historical Society celebrated these generous volunteers with a barbecue.

Stop by the museum if you’re in Lake Tahoe in the next two months; it’s free admission all summer.
