Join the last PV bike tour, July 26 Canada Road looking back toward Woodside After a couple of successful rides in Portola Valley this spring, the cycling carpenters will be making a last extended tour of this beautiful Bay Area region on Sunday, July 26, starting at 8 am in the Alpine Inn parking lot. More experienced—and energetic—riders will take in most of the valley as well as Crystal Springs Reservoir in the 40-mile loop. The June 28 ride was well attended with members from as far north as San Francisco and as far south as San Juan Bautista participating. The FOG cycle club was in full attendance—ever supportive in their role as sweepers. Mother Nature cooperated and kept the thermostat below frying-eggs-on-the-sidewalk temperatures most of the morning. Spinning along Crystal Springs Reservoir was, as always, an enjoyable experience. Look for future rides in Almaden Valley, southern Santa Cruz County, San Juan Bautista and northern Monterey County.
