Cycle on! Carpenters group ride on May 17


It’s hard to haul a truck’s worth of tools on a two-wheeler! But this informal group ride gives you a way to celebrate National Bike Month.

May is Bike Month

Want to go for a ride? Join other UBC members for a spin on May 17 on the Peninsula to celebrate National Bike Month. If you’re a recreational cyclist with a road bike and capable of riding 25-30 miles, come out for a ride-and bring your friends. Everyone’s welcome!

The ride will begin at the Alpine Inn on Alpine Road in Portola Valley. The route includes Alpine Road, Portola Valley Road into Woodside along Mountain Home Road, and Canada Road to the turnaround point at the intersection on Highway 92 and Canada Road.

Riders will retrace the original route and meet for lunch at the Alpine Inn. There will be options for a shorter ride along Canada Road for those who may not want to ride the full 30-mile route.
As a carpenter, it may be nearly impossible to celebrate May’s Bike to Work Day or Bike to Work Week. It’s hard to haul a truck’s worth of tools on a two-wheeler! But this informal group ride gives you a way to celebrate National Bike Month.
